Thirty Day Challenge Pre-Season Wrap-Up

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

Well with this post which briefly addresses the main points brought out in the last three pre-season videos, we will soon welcome in the start of the Thirty Day Challenge ‘proper.’ Truth to tell I’ve a bit of catching up to do to get right up to date .. but I couldn’t resist leaping ahead a bit to view the videos featuring over the first four days of the Challenge. Wow! And as for Market Samurai! Market what? Well .. you get to hear more about that a couple of posts or so out.

We are shown all of the various options for using the video lessons including some of the options we were likely not aware of and Ed goes on to explain his thinking behind some of these as well. If we choose to set up a playlist in Itunes we are shown how to do this and for those of us with older machines we are shown the VLC Media Player option.

Some of the very cool features of the incredible Thirty Day Challenge forums are explained to us and we learn that the forum is to be expanded out to become a ‘365 day thing’. So while there will be a focus on the Thirty Day Challenge content, topics will be expanded out so that we can discuss other things we may have learnt from other internet marketers and strategies relating to other aspects of internet marketing with which we are involved. The whole objective is to make this our “internet marketing home on the internet”.

Brilliant idea Ed .. way to go! Love the idea of pulling in all the new posts as RSS feeds! And I must remember to post my Friend Feed link here ..

Those of us who have just got on in to the Thirty Day Challenge will welcome the final video in the pre-season series – the Thirty Day Challenge Pre-season Cheat Sheet. And fantastic .. we have transcripts! Brilliant for those of us who are more reading orientated.

And … next .. on to the Thirty Day Challenge.

The 30 Day Challenge Launch

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

The launch begins with great fanfare as Ed Dale launches the TV broadcast of the 30 Day Challenge and we receive an explanation of what pre-season is all about. The shows are being recorded and made available on YouTube as well.

A hubbub of chat goes on in the side panel with a few selected folk keeping an eye out for any questions to put to Ed.

Ed explains that pre-season was created so he can show us the marketing specific tools that we will be using for the 30DC and that it was more sensible that this not be done at the same time as the marketing. He goes on to say that this shows us a different way of using the internet which is much more efficient, more colorful and much more broad .. all at the same time.

If we were all stoked on last years Challenge then he assures us “we havn’t seen anything yet!”.

This week the focus is on two very cool technologies .. – the web browser – a very important ‘part of the whole production’ and this year Flock will take pride of place. We will also be shown the right way to communicate with Twitter – the most important thing to happen to marketing in 2008 – both amazing for communicating within teams – and for communicating with our market places.

The 30DC pre-season is 60 days off from the start of the Challenge – so plenty of time is left to do the work .. and we need not feel pressured.

The way the content is delivered will be very different. Ed emphasizes how he will be able to teach in ways he has not been able to before, thanks to the wonderful technology called Screen Flow.

The different modes for downloading of lessons are also discussed depending on one’s requirements, with streaming being handled by YouTube. Ed hints at a technique coming out which will just ‘blow your mind’ and which will add a huge amount of value if you are in a particular niche.

An announcement is made that the 30 DC has just produced its next millionaire although Ed is quick to point out that this is not what it is all about .. the 30 Day Challenge is all about making that very first dollar.

We learn that if we participate in a team we are much more likely to complete the Challenge and go on to succeed online. Creating an internet business online in 2008 is a team based sport and this years Challenge will place a lot of emphasis on the team based nature of what we will be doing.

We are encouraged to get our friends on board with the Challenge and to refer back to the website at 30 Day Challenge – and in particular the blog for announcements.

The 30 Day Challenge Pre-Season

Monday, July 7th, 2008

Well pre-season for the 30 Day Challenge 2008 has commenced, and I start to pick up on this blog post about half way through – so for those of you looking to earn and learn while you work from home , then this should provide you with a good overview as to what we are up to.

It will also help document my own progress throughout the 30 Day Challenge and my interactions with the 30DC Kick-Ass Kiwi Ockers group.

Hoping you that this will inspire you to take up the 30 Day Challenge yourself. The challenge is all about showing you how to make your first dollar online, so that you can earn and learn at the same time .
